Distribution
South America: found in the campos of interior eastern and south-central Brazil to north-eastern Paraguay.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Placed in genus Hylocryptus by Gill and Donsker[2].
Habitat
Moist lowland forests.
