Asia: found in Assam, Burma, China, Thailand, Indochina, Borneo

Taxonomy

Subspecies

There are 4 subspecies[1]:

  • P. f. flavescens:
  • Hills of southern Assam (south of the Brahmaputra) to western Burma
  • P. f. vividus:
  • P. f. sordidus:
(Southern Indochina
  • P. f. leucops: Pale-faced Bulbul
  • Northern Borneo (Mt. Kinabalu to Mt. Mulu and Mt. Murud)

Habitat

Evergreen montane forest and forest edges. Observed at heights around 3300 meters.
