Identification
It looks rather like the much commoner Greater Coucal but has subtle purple streaking on the head and a remarkable pale green bill.
Distribution
Endemic. Found locally in wet zone of south-western Sri Lanka
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
The scientific name is sometimes spelled chlororhynchus.
