- Cobalt blue crown and chin
- Black forehead
- Red hind-neck
- Turquoise line round the eyes and above the forehead
- Green underparts
- Black wings with broad green edging and a yellow-orange line on the wing coverts

Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina
