- Cobalt blue crown and chin
- Black forehead
- Red hind-neck
- Turquoise line round the eyes and above the forehead
- Green underparts
- Black wings with broad green edging and a yellow-orange line on the wing-coverts
Distribution
South America: found in Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina

There are 3 subspecies[1]:
- T. c. cearensis:
- Forests of north-eastern Brazil (Ceará)
- T. c. corallina:
- Eastern Brazil (Pernambuco to Bahia)
- T. c. cyanocephala:
Habitat
They are to be found in the canopy of light forest, forest edges and second growth
Behaviour
The diet consists of fruit, berries and also insects.
