Distribution
South America: found from eastern Colombia to south-western Venezuela and northern Amazonian Brazil

This is a monotypic species[1], which in the past was thought to include Orange-crowned Manakin and Flame-crowned Manakin2.

Moist lowland forests and dry shrubland.
Behaviour
