Wood Mouse ?? (1 Viewer)

Spotted early this morning along undergrowth at edge of garden. Not good photos (poor light, hand held) .... but is it a wood mouse ??? Didn't look the right colour for a house mouse, and the eyes looked wrong. I think I spotted a flash of yellow on the chest when it ran out which made me wonder if it was a yellow necked mouse .... any other features to look out for (if it appears again ??)

Apodemus sylvaticus, You're right. All remarks visible - warm brown colour (I think), big ears & eyes (though A. flavicollis has bigger ears), head colour patterns. Flavicollis would have a tail longer than body.
