first northumberland trip. what boat company would you use? (1 Viewer)

Steve_Halstead

Sparrow or Crow?
I am going to.be at beadnell and hoping to go from either seahouses or amble... Or both.

Which boat companies do you know or trust?

Many thanks

Billy Shiel Farne Island Boat Trips, sailing from Seahouses, for visits to the Farne Islands, and Dave Gray's Puffin Cruises, sailing from Amble, for sailings around Coquet Island.

I've been organising trips to the Farnes, and around Coquet Island, since 1998, and highly recommend these two boat operators. Excellent service and customer care from both - and I get excellent reports from my clients who I've used as 'mystery shoppers' with both companies too :t:

cheers

Just can not wait, never seen:

Fulmar
Kittiwake
any skua
Razorbill
puffins
Eider
Shearwaters
Roseate Terns

When I saw a guillemot it was over a mile off in the scope so a better view would be nice..

Would like a decent pic of a gannet too.

Up until July last year I would have said Billy Shiels, but after the way that the boys at Serenity went out of their way to get me onto the Farnes for the Bridled Tern last year, it will be Serenity every time for me from now on.

Well, several of those are a complete certainty! Gannets are not so common, but possible passing over, but puffins, razorbill, eider, fulmar and kittiwake will all be seen in close proximity.

Also, I doubt you'll have ever seen Arctic terns quite so close...just ask my father! Bring a hat!
