Dust In The Wind Is Flying (1 Viewer)

Dust in the wind is flying and the windblown pollen from the trees
It gets into your nostrils and causes you to sneeze
In warm heatwave conditions and everywhere is so dry
And there is not a rain cloud in the blue and sunny sky
The farm dam is empty the cows bellow for hay
And the bullants crawl on the bare ground in the bright heat of the day
The smell of burning in the air from bush fires miles away
For human interference with Nature there is some price to pay,
The ground as hard as concrete and on it nothing grow
And thistledown in the warm winds across the paddocks blow
The worst drought since records began or so it has been said
And ten long weeks of Summer of us still lay ahead
And dust in the wind is flying and the smell of smoke is in the air
And the paddocks they have never looked so dry and brown and bare.
