The Rose (1 Viewer)

The rose she has gone back to Nature
Her petals on the grass by her mother tree lay
But memories of her blooming in the sunshine
With me till my own end will stay.

The most beautiful rose in the garden
And the pride of her mother tree
Far redder than a ripe red tomato
A thing of great beauty to see.

Next year the rose tree will have more roses
And one rose amongst them will stand out
The fairest rose in the sunlit garden
Of that there will be little doubt.

Despite time life always continues
And though the Seasons they come and they go
On the rose tree now of roses denuded
In the Spring new rose buds will grow.

The rose she has gone back to Nature
She bloomed and then faded away
Ground insects are eating her petals
Some forms of life thrive on decay.
