As Dead As The Dodo (1 Viewer)

As dead as the dodo you do hear some say
And those as dead as the dodo have lived their last night and day
The dodo were flightless pigeons in case you do not know
That lived in Mauritus a long time ago

Clubbed to death and eaten by sailors since they could not fly
The stupidity of human-kind dare we deny
And some species of wildlife are being hunted to extinction today
From mistakes of the past some never learn it does seem that way.

Due to human predation wildlife on the decline
As dead as the dodo can be said of the moa and the thylacine
The great auk and the passenger pigeon the list could go on
So many species in danger of extinction or to extinction have gone.

As dead as the dodo we have heard that before
All around the World Wildlife are endangered on every shore
Climate change, habitat destruction and overhunting which is out of control
On all species of Wildlife is now taking toll.
