Colin's Bird Diary - 13th October 2007 (1 Viewer)

Saturday.
Ashleworth Nature Reserve - Overcast, mild, misty and calm.

The vegetation around the scrape and in front of the hide has been cut. Unusually for this site, there was a Cormorant on the scrape and the two resident Canada Geese were feeding on the newly cut short sward. A group of 30 Wigeon overflew to the south and a pair of Stonechats were worthy of note near Colways Farm. Finally, the first Redwings for me at this site flagged up when 3 were noted in a large dead tree as seen from the main hide.
