Female Red-bellied Woodie
She must have faced the other way for close to 10 minutes and I waited. Once I snapped the picture she took off. ;)
Habitat
A medium-sized woodpecker of the family Picidae. It breeds mainly in the eastern United States, ranging as far south as Florida and as far north as Canada.

I like woodpeckers, but have never seen one looking "cute" like this! Your 10 minute wait was well worth it.
 
No reason to complain. ;)(y) Our Great Spotted peckers love to hide behind the stem. Guess they think, if I do not see you, you do not see me. In fact true but not really a safe hide. :LOL: Your lovely female gave her utmost beautiful pose. No need for another date with her. A wonderful capture of this female woodpecker.
