Baird's Tapir
Baird’s Tapir (Tapirus bairdii: Tapiridae) Cow with calf but only the head of the cow is visible. Her body is submerged in the swamp. It was very dark as seen by the grainy picture.
Habitat
Small forest swamp in a tropical rainforest at 800 m (2,625 ft) elevation.
Location
Rincón de la Vieja National Park, Guanacaste Province, Costa Rica.

Despite the difficult conditions an amazing capture.
Wiki, "Tapirs suffered large-scale extinctions at the end of the Pleistocene,..". Evidences/fossils finds of this species go back to 14 million years.
