Bananaquit (Coereba flaveola)

This one was singing its beautiful song in front of my house this morning.
Habitat
A great variety of habitats, sparse, xerophytic, thorny vegetation to luxuriant, humid, mossy virgin cloud forests, mangroves and gardens.

this was one bird I was hoping to get in Mexico but it never happened.
