Bell Miner
Saw a small colony of bell miners yesterday at Bandanoon National Park picnic area. This one could be a juvenile perched on a prominent branch and was not too shy for photo. I had to shoot against a bright sky, only managed to get a thin-leaved gum tree as background.

You did really well to get this, good old gum tree coming to your rescue LOL.

It certainly has the jizz of a juvie bird - we could do with confirmation of this, though, as there's no picture of a juvenile on the Opus article; in fact there's not too many pictures of this species in the Gallery, so thanks for sharing this one with us..
