It is surprising how easy some birds can be approached in a car, as long as you remain seated. Normally I travel by bike or by foot, and most birds fly away once I slow down. They find that suspicious. But a car seems to be seen as a peaceful species. Once you leave the car, the bird usually flies...

Beautiful colours Erwin and a fine composition yes a quite soul of a bird I can rarely get them without the sun behind them though I love to watch them anyway and they are used to people here in Dublin they hate hate hate Wild Dogs tho :) top shot great DOF

These are two lifers i suppose and were the hell is Zuiderwoude?.Must be the only place in holland where it rained at sunday 23!
Both birds recall times of OT&SIEN or Dik Trom.
