Buff Tip Moth Caterpillar Phalera Bucephala. (Phalera Bucephala)

This caterpillar had a very lucky escape it was found in the foliage of a ornamental cherry I had been pruneing in my front garden I never came across anymore thou it was possible I missed them because I was,nt looking in the first place this one could have easily ended up in the wheelie bin,
Its only the second time I have come across this species before the last time was 20 or more years ago and that was a Adult moth, I did,nt know they did damage to trees in big numbers till today but its taken me this long to come across the Species again so I think the trees are quite safe locally from this species unless this is a forerunner of things to come nature is full of surprise,s good ones and bad ones either way I think the Larvae and the moth are Attractive creatures.
