Chaffinch

Taken outside the cafe on our recent BF Minsmere trip.
I was trying (mostly unsuccessfully) to snap the birds coming to the feeders. This was made rather difficult due to the long lens on the camera, which was mounted on a tripod, and the fact that as soon as I was lined up on a bird, they would fly off. Story of my life!
Location
Minsmere, Suffolk
Date taken
04/04/2004
Equipment used
Canon 10D, Sigma 50-500mm lens and 1.4x converter
A real cutie. Whilst they're a pain in Woodlands when looking for other species, they're certainly a nicely coloured bird to see in close up like this.

Missed this one d-b nice shot. They are a pretty little bird aren't they.

You could have said you were trying unsuccessfully due to Mr Rymers heckling!!
