Common Cuckoo (Cuculus canorus)

Unfortunately not so common now.It is one of my favourite birds and is one of the highlights of the year for me to hear them calling let alone photographing one.I have had glimpses of this beauty over the last week or so but he was never around longing enough to photograph...until yesterday evening.He was on this bush for a while and feeding on plump caterpillars.

Indeed.... I've counted myself lucky if I've heard one even this last 4-5 years round here.

That's a wonderful picture you've taken of this cuckoo Chrstut - very well done lad.
