Female Painted Bunting. (Passerina ciris)

I haven't seen her today but I did capitalize on taking her photo yesterday. She is precious and a pretty green. I have been reading the Bible a lot on the back porch and keeping an eye out for the blessings I receive. Praise God for these beautiful creatures that I enjoy. Birdlife is peaceful and doesn't cost a thing.

Although not so colourful as her hubby.... she is very pretty in her own right, isn't she.

that's a beautiful bird, Daniel, much more discrete than the male, but such beautiful green colors, superbly detailed portrait you have here, top marks, many tfs!!!
