Fantastic picture of a gorgeous bird Brent. Excellent color, focus, lighting, feather detail, eye contact, and complimentary background. Superb!!!
 
Wonderful shot, this! And one thing it has me wondering is whether the females vary geographically. As I recall, the females where I spend my California time aren't so clearly striped, or maybe just striped with less contrast so they seem an uneven brown.
