Festive Tiger Beetle
Festive Tiger Beetle (Cincindela scutellaris scutellaris: Carabidae) A colorful little beetle ca. 1.1-1.4 cm (0.43-0.55 in) long. This species shows the greatest geographical variation among populations of any Tiger Beetle species in North America and exhibits colors ranging from maroon and bright metallic orange to blue, green, and black. Some great colours on this Beetle, Stanley; I'm guessing that the "Festive" comes from the colours? Although that might be a bit too logical for Species naming|=)|
