Habitat: Any open stretch of freshwater, coastal lagoons and tidal rock pools.

Location: Warner Beach, KZN, RSA

Date taken: 3-06-2005

Scientific name: Megaceryle maxima

Equipment used: Canon 20D 70-200mm + 2x converter.
