Green June Beetle (Cotinus nitida)

Green June Beetle. Photographed in 2012 on the deck in my back yard. It's grubs can be a real pest in lawns. Adult beetles are to 1 inch long and if they fly into you, it can really hurt.
Habitat
turfgrasses, corn, oats, sorghum alfalfa, vegetables, tobacco and ornamental plants.
