Grey wagtail

Grey wagtail (Motacilla cinerea)

There are a pair of Pied wagtails around the house and garden pretty much all the time. They nest under the solar panels on the garage. During late September this adult male Grey wagtail (pale base to bill, pale throat and yellow upper breast) showed up. I didn't think it would stay as the only moving water is my neighbours minute water feature at the front of their house. Well it's still here!.... much to the annoyance of the resident Pied waggies who chase it whenever they see it.... see next photo!

My favourite Wagtail Mick, I can just picture that tail pumping up and down ten to the dozen! A lovely capture of this delightful garden visitor!

Brilliant story Mick. Superbly captured detail and colourfully lit close up you have of this beauty. Two great ones, well done.
