Need help to identify this bird...
Spotted in Madras, (South of) India
Likes the sprinklers and forages around.
Bright red backside... did not get a good picture of it...
Rear tail also with a speck of white and enough to distract a predator (looks almost like a head / face)...

Most likely it is an Indian Pitta (Pitta brachyura) Pity cannot see the head but the rear almost gives it away :t:
