Lark Sparrow (1st year bird) (Chondestes grammacus)

This was a good year for this species; many fledgings. The streaking in the chin, neck and chest regions denotes a 1s year bird. After moulting these streaks will be gone, replaced by a single, diamond shapped spot , center of chest
