I remember seeing this bird from our room & quickly grabbing my scope, tripod, etc, getting my camera & scope lined up, cable release attached, focus & ....
batteries die!!!
Take camera off, put spare batteries in, re-assemble & ...... batteries dead!!!
note to self - Perhaps I shouldn't use rechargeable batteries.
Walk back to room, get more batteries, re-assemble, focus & at last, managed to get a few shots.
Luckily the L.B Roller was kind enough to wait for me
