Long-tailed Mockingbird
Long-tailed Mockingbird (Minus longicaudatus albogriseus) Four subspecies have been described, three occur in Peru. The nominate and subspecies maranonicus are listed by Avibase as being rare or accidental in Peru. Photographed on a palm tree trunk at Pantanos de Villa Reserve around habitation, about 18 km southeast of Lima, Lima Region, the Province of Lima and the District of Chorrillos. Housing subdivision with cultivated plants and manicured green spaces situated adjacent to a fresh water marsh within 500 m of the Pacific Ocean. Arid Tropical Life Zone at ca. 3 m (9.8 ft) elevation. Sexes similar.

Very similar to our Northern Mockingbird.

A beautiful capture of this rarity to the BF Gallery. Nicely captured Stanley although, I'm not sure how you saw it with that perch ;)
