Mt. Shasta
Mount Shasta is a stratovolcano that rises approximately 10,000 feet above the surrounding area. The mountain is made up to four overlapping cones, and has seven glaciers. (thank you wikipedia). Shasta's indian names are Ako-Yet (Sacred spirit mt.), Et ti ja na, Et, Yeh te che na. It is said that a powerful Pit River spirit, called Mis Misa, lives in the mountain and serves to keep the universe in balance. (D.J. Theodoratus and N. H Evans)
