My First...lol....but was clueless.... (Charadrius mongolus)

Saturday at 11am i get a call from one of my patients..say..Dr..my 11yrs old son wants to talk to you..yes i said Dr Uncle..you know the place you come too is near my house we have just shifted here..saw some birds in flock of 70 to 150..birds with red legs and some small birds...waited for 12.30pm and i was off..reached this place about a mile from the man made lake..(remember the Savanna Nightjar ..lol.)..saw this boy waiting ..told him hop in..reached the lake..and the tide was in coming..and saw the flock of birds taking off..too late...drove in to the side of the lake..i was cursing..the side of the lake had only 1 foot high bushs..no cover..how could i get close..no hide..then remembered Digishooter..he always leaves some wood or dead branch and hopes the bird sits on it...so looked around..nothing..the looked across the lake on the mangroves side saw a 4 feet wide and 4 feet high throny dead bush...walked and dug the bush out with the help of the youngester dragged it back...went down the inclined side of the lake and left the bush on the edge..told this chap..if possible at 4 pm..come close as you can from the out-side and let me know if the birds had come...4.30pm left again...and his call comes in ..no birds now but the tide is going down and bed of the lake can be seen...
reached got every thing ready and told the boy to go home and lugging my kowa and things..reached the bush..fixed my tripod and kowa...and sat down..then noticed the thorns on the branch..they were like those Turkish curved swords...so no leaning..lol..:'D...waited, and waited...the time was almost 5.40pm..had another 20mins before i had to go..heard the wing beats of birds ducked behind the bush..almost got my hands cut with the thorns..suddenly there were Red legs..(red Shanks)..and plover like birds..i handnt a clue what they were...but they were quite a distance away..took a few shots and then noticed a movement..about 25 feet away...there was this single one coming towards me...and yes pulling out worms after every foot..at 22 feet i focused and took a shot..it heard the sound and stopped..then took few more by the time it was 20 feet away...refocused and took my last..i must have moved..it saw and they took off..laughing i got up and packed my camera..walked back to the car..then came back thinking that i will remove the bush...but then i handnt got a shot of the red legs..with out thinking turned..and bent down to tie my loose laces..as i got up..there was a tearing sound from behind..the breeze was felt by my butt...looked back..oh people my tract suit was open like a window behind...:'D..with my undies exposed..you know the toddlers have the flap like thing behind...Yes julien...yes it true..not far fatched..:D....since no body was here..i drove back to my practice..now was the difficult part..i have to cross the road to my practice after parking the car..100 feet away..there re 2 or 3 shops on the road selling fast food..got my umbrilla out got out of the car (we drive on the right side.).so was hidden by the car..picked up my kowa and opened my umbi...lol..jammed it againts my hip with the open end covering my behind,,walked cooly across..no one said any thing..reached my practice door..my staff opened the door..as i slipped in my umbrilla caught on the edge of the door and was torn lose from my hand..there was a roar of laughter from the fast food shops..:"D...any how changed and saw the pictures..lol..well worth the torn pants..i had uploaded the the pictures for I.D..wintibird and Viator were kind enough to I.D the bird for me..Thanks ..i hope you like my first..thank you in advance...me and my blunders..:'D..lol..

Great looking Plover, Manjeet. Still has a bit of summer colouring. Great lighting; no need to undies exposure! :'D

Great shot Manjeet, congratulations on another first, very exciting for you! The young boy was a great look out for you! Love your narrative it made my day!
Thanks!

Well done a cracker of a photo, lets hope the youngster continues his interest in birding.

You will have to get another sarong and keep it for occassions like these..you should be aware of the amount of times they are in your surgery [butt and hose cases]....you could always say that you are carrying it for emergency medical reasons...a torniquet, a sling, a pressure pad for bleeding etc.........and to stop the world seeing your butt!

many congratulations on this first manjeet,it sure is a little stunner mate, like your fieldcraft skills too, very well done.

I'll bet you weren't waring white undies ;) Woweeeeeeewow, what a stunning razorsharp excellent picture of this sweetie, well done Manjeet  :D
