Pheasant-2 (Phasianus colchicus)

I Have had lots of pheasant in the garden lately, this pair of female have slightly different eye markings. Th Male was in the undergrowth keeping an eye on his females.

Interesting remark about the different eye marking in these two ladies. Both pics are very good, Christine, thanks for them and for your description!
 
Thanks everyone, They are such a nervous bird which is understandable because they are only bred for shooting so they are off as soon as they hear a noise, trying to get photos is not easy. It is a shame because they are such a beautiful bird.
