Red deer stag.

I was lucky enough to be shown a herd of wild red deer this week,as it is the rutting season I was treated to quite a spectacle,the highlight being this stag which passed c20ft from me.

Magnificant animals. I used to 'youth' hostel on Arran with my son and in the October school week you could get within touching distance almost they were so intent on their rivals not getting near the harem. Could be a bit scary though in the dark when your torch found their eyes. Nice shot.
