Red-faced Spinetail
Red-faced Spinetail (Cranioleuca erythrops rufigenis) There are three recognized subspecies with two being mapped for Panama. Subspecies rufigenis is found in the mountains of western Panama while subspecies griseibularis is mapped for extreme eastern Panama. Sexes similar. Photographed along a trail around Volcn Lakes, southwest of Volcn, Chiriqui Province, Panama. Remnant montane cloud forest at ca. 1,300 m (4,300 ft) elevation.

A wonderful capture of this gorgeous bird in a lovely setting Stanley. He doesn't look too happy having his photo taken !!! Thanks for sharing.
