Robin

Does anyone know what causes this molt. There are a lot of Robins in my area all looking like this. I haven't seen any other birds with this condition ?

It's likely to be feather mite and this is often a condition they suffer from after a season of sitting in a nest. They look better once they grow their new feathers for the autumn.

That's an excellent picture you've taken of this wee guy lad - very well done.
