Salinas River Wildlife Refuge

There are only two directions at the refuge:
1. You head toward the beach
2. You head toward the river
I haven't explored the river trail yet, because the beach is incredible. It is home to many shore birds, especially the Snowy Plover. The picture is of the marshy habitat just before a short stretch of sand dunes. The picture is deceptive because the beach is just 500 yards away on the left.

Hmm... I think I would enjoy this place madly! Looks like my kind of environment: varied habitats at the same spot with delightful views in every direction... and plenty of birds to see and photograph! ;) Thanks for sharing this Refuge and the description of it!!! :t: :t:
