Saturday Silly Story - 1 (Rostrhamus sociabilis)

OK. Here comes a silly storyboard. It starts when Diego stops the car for an adult male snail kite, sitting quite near the road. I sneak out the passenger door and lean up against the car ... and the kite stays put. But no sooner am I set up for a shot than another car comes barreling by, full of folks headed to a river to fish, and raising a cloud of dust on the unpaved road. Darn, darn, darn ... but I take some shots anyway, in case the bird takes off instead of waiting for the dust to settle.

This is similar, in reverse to my Foggy Day story Ann, Patience is a virtue, but in your case at least you got the shots.

Oh I feel for you Ann... the times something similar has happened to me (not the dust but frightening the bird away!)

I think you did well to get an image through the dust - well done.
