Short-Tailed Babbler (Malacocincla malaccensis)

This are secondary forest birds, not commonly found in our nature reserves in Singapore. Difficult to spot and see as they blend in well with the leaf litter of the forest floor.

Hi KC, Not as common as you have described. Maybe you were lucky. A near-threatened species and I have seen very few photos of it. Good one!!
 
Hi Eric,
SB28, set at 1/8 strenght just to light up the subject a little bit..... and as you can see this guy is in quite heavy foliage.
