Female Rufous Hummingbird Portrait (Selasphorus rufus)

I was able to get a number of close-up views of this female Rufous last October when I visited fellow BF member Larry Smith's place. He has a tremendous area that is basically an oasis in our desert. I posted a similar shot after that encounter, but this one is slightly different. She was this close, when I looked at the raw photo at 100% she was actually larger than I could post on here, so had to adjust the size down after I cropped her body from the shot.

This is a really good photo of a close encounter with this bird. Thanks for sharing. Wow! It must have been a good birding moment.
