Charming Hummingbird
This male Charming Hummingbird was singing all morning long from a perch at the edge of old second growth. Despite also being called "Beryl-crowned Hummingbird", one almost never sees color on this species. The reddish on the lower mandible stands out much more than any blue on the chest or crown.
