Oxeye Bean flower buds
Oxeye Bean (Macuna urens: Fabaceae) High-climbing woody vine of moist forests. Buds are green with purple flowers. Its notoriety is from a tincture made from crushed beans and alcohol at a 1:5 ratio/weight. Supposedly a fantastic cure for hemorrhoids. Method of application is uncertain. Photographed near La Cinchona, Alajuela Province, Costa Rica at ca. 1,524 m (5,000 ft) elevation. Lower Montane Cloud Forest.

LOL, I bet I wouldn't need many guesses.|=)| Quite a beautiful-looking plant with that sheen and subtle colours. Well done Stanley.
 
A flower of special colour and form. This is a superb capture, with good focus, nice lighting and great composition.
