Lol, what a brilliant close-up of this gorgeous duck not looking her Sunday best!!!! TFS Nick!!!!
 
That's a female Scaup Nick. Note how the black on the bill tip is only on the nail - on a female Tufted it is a band right across the tip. Also the head is rounded, there's the hint of a pale patch on the cheek, and the white on the face extends above the bill. All good Scaup indicators.
