Just beginning to green

Kruger had finally had some rain, after a 5-year drought. It got greener and lusher as we drove southwards, but where we entered the park (about midway down its north-south axis) it was still pretty dry.

That must have been quite a relief to see the end of the drought - it really is looking lovely, isn't it.

What a fantastic shot of this wonderful place Ann, even the name is so evocative! That rain must have been more than a little welcome!
