First this year (Sturnus vulgaris)

First showed up in the garden on Friday... straight in the bird bath as usual. Most wet fledglings can't fly, so the Cats are as determined as ever this year to get one to play with... I'm spending a lot of time soaking the Cats as they try to get into the garden. (Jays ignore the Starling fledglings, but take the Sparrow fledglings - Crows and Magpies usually take both, but they've young to feed too.)

Always good to see the young uns, nice capture Chris...When you say "Soaking" the cats, I hope that means in a bucket mate, LOL.

My young starlings seem to be still in the nest, judging by the amount of mealworms the adults are disappearing with LOL

You've a great picture of this bairn Chris, he looks quite cute, doesn't he.
