American Oystercatchers

Pair apparently nesting on beach. I used my Sony bridge camera with telescoping lens and stayed at a distance.

Thank-you, all. Hi Delia--We are not sailing now and have been home dealing with stuff for a few years now. Peregrine is tied to a dock in a great spot in Mexico and we get down for visits.

I can't recall seeing these in California, only BLOYs. But then I'm generally pretty far up North. Do we only get BLOYs north of SF Bay? ... (googling) ... Yep. Checked the range map.
