Apricot Moon

Since there have been virtually no birds to be seen over the last few days (because of blustery winds) time to resort to a moon pic.

When the moon is low in the sky, atmospheric particles can make it appear slightly orange like this.

It is a terrific shot with great detail, the moon stands out wonderfully against the dark sky.
It really is a very beautiful apricot Moon

Has it been windy down there John... we had some here for an hour or so this afternoon, but that's all!
