Barbary Falcon with prey(Leaches Petrel)

This bird came in off the sea at about 3 o'clock in the afternoon at Las Salinas on Fuerteventura a couple of weeks ago. Its only a record shot, but its a good example of how far out certain falcons will travel offshore in search of a meal...

Lots of our coastal Peregrines go way out to sea for prey...I've watched them, and seen them come back to the cliffs with a Pigeon.
