Unknown fish?

Found on Worthing (West Sussex, UK) beach recently. No idea what this is. Is it a fish or something else. Any suggestions welcome.

Goodness I've not see anything like that before Granston.

It might be an idea to post on the forum to ask for their help... i think the Marine Life forum would probably be most apt, but I could always move it if they think it should be in one of the other sections.

Good luck - hope someone knows what it is!

It's a long time since I've been to Worthing - thanks for the memories lad.

Very strange-looking! Did you ever find out what this is? The head shape resembles some sort of shark to me, but it seems misshapen in the body. I would hazard a wild guess at perhaps a miscarried shark fetus.
Though I suppose it could also be a particularly strange-shaped piece of plant material.
