DB Red-faced Apalis (Urorhipis rufifrons)

The field guide lists this bird as Red-fronted warbler -seems to be a bit of dispute over where it belongs!
Location
Lake Baringo, Kenya
Date taken
11/12/2006
Scientific name
Urorhipis rufifrons
Equipment used
Canon 350d , 100-400 IS
Well we call it the Apalis. And it has a new home in the database as well.

Well done Megan.

Hi Megan,
You probably have the Stevenson & Fanshawe which uses for this the Dowsett & Forbes-Watson taxonomy (in Spiloptila). This is probably best treated in its' own monotypic genus - Urorhipis rufifrons (Red-fronted Warbler).
